What is marketing attribution and why does it matter?

Marketing attribution is the process of assigning credit to the marketing channels and touchpoints that contributed to a conversion. It matters because without it, you do not know which channels actually drive revenue — and you will consistently over-invest in the wrong ones and under-invest in the ones that work.

What is the difference between last-click and data-driven attribution?

Last-click attribution gives 100% of the conversion credit to the final marketing touchpoint before conversion. Data-driven attribution uses machine learning to distribute credit across all touchpoints based on their actual contribution to conversions. Data-driven is almost always more accurate for understanding true channel performance.

What is the best attribution model for my business?

For most businesses with enough conversion data (GA4 requires at least 400 conversions per month), data-driven attribution is recommended. For businesses with less data or very short consideration periods, last-click may be sufficient. We will recommend the right model based on your business model and data volumes.
